Hey guys,
My name is Adam Loprinzi, as much as I was hesitant to do this unfortunately I'm in need of any assistance I can get currently. On Friday 09/20/2024 I went to take a shower and noticed that I was profusely bleeding (sorry for being graphic) I began bleeding so much in the shower that I fainted, I got up and then moments later found myself on the floor again. At this time I had no idea what was happening and crawled to my phone to call 911. So much after that was a blur and almost an out of body experience that I don't remember. They quickly got me into a room in the ER and began running tests on me, I was loosing so much blood so quickly I began to hemorrhage and lost half of the blood in my body. Dr's rushed to figure out what was going in order to see what the next steps needed to be. (For those of you that know my history or have known me for a long time there are going to be certain details I will leave out in order to protect my personal privacy). They completed and ultra sound and CT scan on my abdomen to see all that was going on and found that I had multiple tumors and masses inside my lower abdomen that were causing all of this blood loss to happen. They concluded I would need emergency surgery and a blood transfusion. With the urgency of the surgery they rushed me in and and began the blood transfusion while I went under, during the surgery I was so unstable and flatlined twice because of the amount of blood I was continuing to lose. Luckily I pulled through thanks to the amazing team of Dr's and nurses that were there for me. I still await the biopsy of large tumors and masses that they found to see if they are cancerous or not, but for now I'm on the road to recovery and with that comes being out of work. As some of you may know I just started an amazing new job working in the tradeshow union, which I absolutely love, but will be out recovering for a minimum of the next 6 weeks as it is a very physically demanding job. With starting a new job most of you know, you don't have have benefits or any type of time off that's being paid for so currently I'll be facing large medical bills and just trying to cover my necessities like rent, utilities, and food. I'm currently applying for all of the resources that I can through the state, but unfortunately I know it wont be enough to cover me for the duration that I will be out of work. I know most people are struggling right now and I wouldn't ask for help if I didn't need it, if there is anything that you can do to help, even just sharing the link would be a big help, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
