On Thursday, August 15th, Adam was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul after being found unconscious after aspirating. It is believed that he had been unresponsive for up to 36 hours before being discovered. Upon arrival at Regions Hospital, Adam was admitted to the ICU, where he was intubated and remained unconscious for an additional day. We continue to search for answers as to why this happened, as the medical team at Regions is stumped.
Progress came the following day (Friday) when Adam began to open his eyes and attempted to remove the intubation tube. By Saturday, he was able to speak, although still confused and difficult to understand, showing promising signs of recovery. Each day, Adam continues to improve and is diligently working with Physical and Occupational Therapists to regain his strength, with the ultimate goal of returning home and resuming his beloved work.
Adam takes immense pride in his profession and is eager to get back to it. However, he will require intensive rehabilitation to reach his previous level of health and safely return to his home and workplace. The challenges of being out of work are significant, and we kindly ask for your support during this time. If you’re able to contribute in any way—whether through prayers, warm thoughts, sharing this GoFundMe campaign, or making a donation—it would be deeply appreciated!
Thank you for your kindness and support.
