I'm writing this as a close friend of Adam and Sam. On December 23rd, Adam was officially diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

In the coming weeks, Adam will undergo port placement followed by chemotherapy, with plans for surgery in Portland at OHSU. This will require frequent appointments, travel, and time away from work as the family focuses on treatment and caring for their two kids.

As Adam begins treatment, the family is adjusting to frequent appointments, travel to Portland, and the day-to-day changes that come with cancer care. Many have reached out asking how they can support Adam, Sam, and their kids during this time.
