On July 1, Adam underwent what was expected to be a routine, outpatient endoscopic procedure called an ampulectomy at Huntsman. That evening, he was rushed to the ER in excruciating pain and diagnosed with pancreatitis. Within 48 hours, his condition took a critical turn — he was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis and admitted to the ICU in respiratory failure.

The situation quickly became life-threatening. The severe inflammation from his pancreas began affecting multiple organ systems. He then developed internal bleeding and required multiple surgeries, blood transfusions, and plasma infusions. For over three weeks, Adam has been courageously fighting for his life in the hospital.

While Adam continues his healing journey, his wife holds down everything at home — supporting their children emotionally, physically, and financially — all while navigating the stress of an uncertain medical journey. Unfortunately, Adam will be out of work for the foreseeable future as he recovers.
