On June 24th, our son Adam Perrando was struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter. He was rushed into emergency surgery to remove his spleen, and then transferred to UC Davis for additional surgeries on his broken legs. After arriving at UC Davis, doctors discovered Adam had damage to two arteries in his neck, which led to a stroke. Adam now faces a long and uncertain road to recovery, with many more surgeries and treatments ahead.
Our family is doing everything we can to stay by Adam’s side during this critical time. Both his father and I, along with other close family members, are traveling back and forth to UC Davis to support him. The costs of lodging, meals, and travel are adding up quickly, especially since the length of Adam’s hospital stay is unknown and new challenges continue to arise each day.
We are reaching out for support so we can remain close to Adam and help him through every step of his recovery. Any help will make a difference in allowing us to focus on Adam’s healing and be there for him as he faces the difficult journey ahead. Thank you for keeping Adam and our family in your thoughts.
