Adam Smith, also known as Muff, is my husband and the heart of our family. In May 2025, Adam was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer, and our lives changed overnight. Last year, we were grateful for Medicaid that helped cover his treatments, but when Adam’s Social Security Disability income began, we lost that coverage. Now, we’re in a difficult gap—he won’t qualify for SSDI until he reaches the two-year mark, leaving us to pay for insurance, high deductibles, and mounting travel and hotel costs for his ongoing treatments.

We’re doing everything we can, but the financial strain is overwhelming. These funds will help us keep up with medical bills, insurance payments, and the extra costs of traveling for care. Most importantly, your support will give Adam the chance to focus on his health, spend more time with his two-year-old grandson, and enjoy the moments that matter most. When he’s feeling well, Adam loves nothing more than turning a wrench on classic Mopar cars—a passion that brings him joy and a sense of normalcy in the midst of so much uncertainty.
