Support Adam, Kat, and Leo's Hurricane Recovery

Hello everyone, Adam and Kat here along with our 1 year old son Leo in Lakeland, Florida. We are asking for your help to recover from the damages left behind by Hurricane Milton.

We were repeatedly told that our area would not see such destruction from the hurricane and were not told to evacuate so we prepared our home and sheltered in place to endure the storm. Unfortunately our home sustained substantial flooding damage and we ended up needing to be rescued from our residence. Thankfully we are all safe but it is going to be a long journey ahead to be able to repair our home. The water level rose to about 2.5-3 feet meaning most of our electrical outlets were completely submerged. We will need to replace a lot, including the drywall, all outlets, possibly wiring, large appliances like our refrigerator and oven, the flooring and our furniture and countless other things. Both of our vehicles are totaled due to the high floodwaters as well and though we do have insurance on our property and vehicles the deductibles we have to pay are in the thousands along with materials and repair costs skyrocketing after Covid. Also knowing how many others are going through similar circumstances right now in the wake of the last two hurricanes, insurance will likely take a while to help out. Our son Leo has had health issues since he was born and we’ve been trying our hardest to afford his medical bills. Money was already tight beforehand and now we need to essentially start over we have no choice. We are grateful for any amount you would be willing to donate, every little bit helps us be able to rebuild our life and keep a roof over our heads, keep our son safe and give him back his safe and fun home to grow up in.
