Support Adam and Lily After Olivia's Passing

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart to share that Olivia Jacobs, age 35, passed away peacefully on XXX DATE HERE. Olivia leaves behind a loving husband Adam, and a 5 year old daughter Lily. Olivia lost the battle to Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD), a result of a recent kidney transplant in December of 2024. Following a nearly 3 month long battle at UW Madison’s ICU, Olivia spent her final days surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home.

The funds raised will be given to Olivia's Husband Adam, and daughter Lily to help cover medical bills and funeral costs.

Olivia's Journey: Born on May 2nd, 1990, Olivia's positive attitude and fun loving spirit filled the hearts of those who surrounded her. In recent years Olivia prioritized being a wife, a mother, and being involved in her church.

Olivia battled Polycystic Kidney disease for many years, knowing that eventually it would lead to her needing a kidney transplant. With a generous donation from Olivia's cousin Molly, Olivia received a new kidney in December of 2024. With the new kidney, life was looking promising for Olivia as she could finally move forward and begin doing the things she loved doing once again. Unfortunately, a small percentage of transplant patients develop Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD), and tragically Olivia was a part of that small group of unlucky & undeserving transplant recipients. With her immune system compromised from the transplant, cancer slowly overtook Olivia's body. After fighting hard for almost 3 months in UW-Madison’s ICU with countless surgeries, infections, breathing and feeding tubes, Olivia remained hopeful. Unfortunately, the battle became too tough to overcome, and Olivia spent her final days at home with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever Brooks by her side.

While Olivia’s battle has sadly & tragically come to an end, the battle for her husband Adam and daughter Lily will continue. The cost of the transplant, additional surgeries, ambulance rides, an extended stay in the UW-Madison ICU, in-home hospice care, funeral and much more will continue to be a financial burden on the family she leaves behind for years to come. While this fundraiser won't bring Olivia back, we hope it will ease the pain for her family and hopefully give them some much needed peace and time to heal.
