“Adam was recently diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. He had surgery on Monday June 9th to resect the tumor. The surgeons worked hard to remove most of it but there are microscopic cells still showing along the nerve at the base of his skull. He will need radiation at the end of the summer once he has healed. We still have to meet with radiation oncology to find out what this entails. This is a life long journey that he will have to be monitored continuously with scans and scopes of this area to ensure it doesn’t grow back.”
