My name is Annabell Gilbert, this is my daughter Adalynn she was born with Clift lip and palate. She is only 15 days old. We have been struggling to try to get her to eat because of her lip. Me and my husband live in Clayton Ga, all of our family lives down in Gwinnett county, it is very hard to have some help when everyone is 2 hours away. She has been seeing an eating specialist here down at Children’s Healthcare Of Atlanta and it is a commute for us to drive 2 hours multiple times a week. All her doctors appointments are here at CHOA including her surgery’s. Since we have been struggling to get her to eat the specialist wanted us to come to CHOA and get admitted on Monday July 14th. Since being admitted she has had a bunch of test ran on her like ultrasound of her heart and brain and a sleep study. She also is having some airway blockage so they are having to be on oxygen ad well as a feeding tube. If we leave the hospital she will have to go home on oxygen and a feeding tube to make sure her breathing is okay and she is getting the nutrients she needs.She hasn’t gained any weight since birth.With me being on maternity leave right now I’m not working. My sole provider is my husband and he has been here at the hospital with me and Adalynn since she got admitted. He has been missing so much work. It’s hard for him to miss work and take care of her and with me being 2 weeks postpartum it definitely takes a lot on my body and mind when he works. I’m not asking for much prayers for healing and let’s get this baby home ❤️
