Support Adalberto's Battle Against Lung Cancer

Hi, my name is Heather Rodriguez, and my father is battling lung cancer. We have created this GoFundMe for my father so we can help him pay for chemotherapy and other expenses due to him not being able to work as much.

Adalberto grew up in Chiapas, México, and moved to the United States in 1994. He has 2 daughters and 2 sons, and recently he became a grandfather to a beautiful baby boy named Ares Alexander.

About 3 years ago, he was diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent many surgeries that had a big risk to his life. He battled for 2 years to get rid of colon cancer, and with all the help we could get, he is now cancer-free.

Unfortunately, last year he ended up at the hospital due to severe back pain. We found out he had kidney stones, which caused an infection in his blood. While many exams were done, they found nodules in both his lungs. After many PET scans and biopsy tests, we received the worst news. It was confirmed he had lung cancer. We were all devastated hearing this news, after all he had gone through with colon cancer.

On October 17, 2024, Adalberto's cancer started spreading more and causing his cancer to be metastatic. The two largest nodules he currently has are 10 and 18 cm. From 4 nodules to 7 has become Adalberto's biggest nightmare. While also helping his mother with her medical expenses in Mexico. He had hopes and chances for it to disappear but, unfortunately, we are here praying that everything will go well and he can recover soon. Since his cancer is spreading, he will be having chemotherapy for 2 days while laying in bed at home. This therapy is very expensive for our family to help Adalberto.
