Support Achilles' Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out to you today with a humble heart to ask for your support during a difficult time. Recently, my son Achilles contracted a life-threatening and unexpected illness, Meningoencephalitis. I am happy to say that he beat the odds and is alive today; however, he is currently hospitalized. Due to the illness, it affects his brain and spinal cord. His mobility, sight, and speech have been impacted greatly. We are currently on the road to recovery in inpatient rehabilitation. He is making strides every day to stand on his own, sit up, talk, and use his hands. We are in prayer daily to ensure that he keeps making these strides to become whole again. If you know my son personally, you know he's a vibrant fireball that can talk you into next week. His current condition is a far cry from the active soccer player you all know. We are working diligently daily to bring him back to himself.
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial strain has been tremendous. As some of you may know, I am a full-time entrepreneur and the primary caretaker for my children. I have not been working during this traumatic ordeal and can't return fully to work until he's able to have a greater amount of independence. Despite our best efforts, we are struggling to meet the costs of daily living and also the financial burden that has arisen for the time off and tools required to care for him.
We have set up this GoFundMe page to help ease the burden and to ensure that Achilles receives the care and support he needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us move closer to our goal and provide some much-needed relief during this challenging time.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page with your network would mean the world to us. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
With much gratitude,
