Help Fund Independent Polls in Virginia & New Jersey (Governor 2025)
We’re raising $3,000 to field two high-quality statewide polls—one in Virginia and one in New Jersey—to provide transparent, crosstab-rich data ahead of the 2025 gubernatorial elections. The polls will be conducted by SoCal Strategies, an emerging firm recognized for accurate, methodologically rigorous work powered by grassroots support.
Why this matters
Legacy polling is expensive and often inaccessible. SoCal Strategies was built to change that—producing public, transparent surveys funded by regular citizens rather than insiders. Our work has been featured alongside major 2024 election coverage and national averages, with supporters funding $25–30k worth of polling to prove the model.
Our accuracy so far
Average error ≈ 2 points across key 2024 battlegrounds; internal median ≈ 1.2 points.
Examples from our published scoreboard (SoCal poll vs. actual result, absolute error):
National (Oct ‘24): SoCal +1 Trump vs actual +1.47 → 0.47 pts error.
GA (Oct ‘24): +1 Trump vs +2.20 → 1.20.
WI (Oct ‘24): tie vs +0.86 Trump → 0.86.
PA (Aug ‘24): +1 Trump vs +1.71 → 0.71.
We pair that performance with transparent weighting, strict respondent quality controls, and representative online panels, the same toolkit we’ll deploy in VA and NJ.
