Hello, my name is Monserrat and I am raising funds for my brother Abraham and my mother Maria Guadalupe. Many of you may have heard about the accident Abraham suffered last month, but I want to share more about what he and my mom are going through, and why your support means so much to us.
Abraham has always been a bright light in our family and community. He is a talented dancer who performed at hotels in Playa del Carmen and Cancun, bringing joy to guests and earning the admiration of everyone who met him. He is a loving son and brother, deeply devoted to our mother and passionate about music and dancing. One of Abraham’s biggest dreams was to see Bad Bunny in concert on December 22—a ticket he worked so hard for. This might not seem important to others, but for him it was everything, and it’s heartbreaking to see that dream put on hold by someone else’s careless actions.
On December 4th, 2025 at midnight, Abraham was the victim of a hit-and-run motorcycle accident. A car struck him and fled the scene, leaving Abraham with life-changing injuries. Abraham’s left leg was fractured so badly that doctors had to insert an orthopedic plate. He also suffered liver and bladder damage, and now faces constant pain and severe cramps in his right leg. The nerve damage in his right leg and foot means he cannot move his foot at all, and every day he endures pain so intense that he cannot sleep. It is heartbreaking to hear his screams and feel helpless to ease his suffering.
Our mother, Maria Guadalupe, had to quit her job at a hotel in Jalisco to care for Abraham full-time. She is with him 24/7, tending to his every need as if he were a baby again. Neither of them can work, and every trip to therapy or the doctor requires a taxi or Uber. Even getting food and picking up medicine is a challenge. The costs of therapy, doctor visits, medication, food, rent, water, light bills, and daily living expenses are overwhelming.
This fundraiser is a huge help for our family. With your support, Abraham can continue his therapy and get the medical care he needs, and my mom can provide for their basic needs while she cares for him. We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help us through this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring hope to Abraham and Maria Guadalupe.
Sometimes, I’ll be honest, I ask myself why bad things happen to good people. I know no one is perfect, but I can say by fact that my brother didn’t deserve what he is going through. But then I answer myself: God chooses his people. He knows who to give challenges to, and He knows who the strongest ones are. I just want to say in advance, thank you for supporting us. I know God will bless you all in so many ways.
