Hello good soul :)

On July 20, I was contacted to assist with the rescue of a cat that was left behind when his family was deported.

I named him Tommy because he had a beautiful Tom Cat face but he looked so sad it broke my heart.

This was a team effort and I could not have done without the help on good hearted, dedicated volunteers who use their free time to help animals in need - and sadly we have so many in Miami :(

Tommy was limping when rescued and was kept on pain meds until his vet neuter and assessment appointment on July 27.

Unfortunately, the x-ray confirmed that Tommy has a severe hip dysplasia that causes a lot of pain. Thankfully he tested negative for FIV/FeLV but is being treated for parasites.

X-rays and meds are expensive and the visit was $550.

The estimate for the surgery came at $2,975.50 with a $1,000 nonprofit discount for a total of $1,975.50.

All receipts are available.

Despite suffering from abandonment, Tommy is very gentle with humans - he was a house cat left to fend for himself on the street.

Please help me help Tommy! He will be a wonderful addition to any home once he's ready for a new life.

Thank you so much for your generosity! No amount is too small. Together, we can make this happen. Please spread the word and feel free to ask any questions and contact me if you'd like to see the receipts from the vet's office - Pets & Vets in Miami Beach.

Thank you again so much!
