Aloha, my name is Virginia (Vrsni) Van Pelt and I am creating this GoFundMe for Yasoda (Yvonne) Barry and her daughter Abi.

Abi was in a life-threatening car accident on October 21, 2024. Abi sustained serious injuries including 3 broken vertebrae, a spinal cord hematoma, 3 broken ribs, a broken nose, a concussion, and a lacerated liver. It is a miracle she's alive, and we are very grateful that she is. She is unable to drive or work until sometime in February, depending on how well she heals. Her mother Yasoda immediately left Maui and her two jobs to go to Pittsburgh to support Abi. It's been a very stressful time for their family. Thankfully, Abi's medical expenses are being covered. Due to the loss of wages for both of them, I am creating this GoFundMe to assist them with their backlog of bills and everyday living expenses. Mahalo (thank you) for considering supporting them.
