My name is Abimbola Ogunbanke, an international Master of Science student in Project Management at Northeastern University, Toronto.

I began my program in January 2025, with a total tuition estimated at $47,000 CAD for the 18-month program. Since the start of my program, my family and I have been paying toward my tuition. After more than a year of hard work and dedication, I am now in my second-to-final quarter. My graduation ceremony is scheduled for May 26, 2026, and I am expected to complete my program on June 28, 2026. I have worked extremely hard academically and currently maintain a CGPA of 3.822 out of 4.0.

Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, I am now facing a serious financial challenge. I currently have an outstanding tuition balance of $19,000 CAD, and the university has placed a financial hold on my account. This prevents me from registering for my final quarter (April–June 2026) courses. Without registering for this last quarter, my graduation and completion of my degree are at risk.

In addition to the outstanding balance, my final quarter tuition is estimated at $9,000 CAD, bringing the total amount needed to complete my degree to $28,000 CAD.

I have actively tried to secure funding through banks, scholarships, and other financial support, but as an international student and temporary resident in Canada, access to financial assistance has been extremely limited.

This is the final step in a journey that my family and I have worked very hard to achieve. With your support, I will be able to clear my outstanding tuition, register for my final quarter, and complete my Master’s degree.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and would mean a lot to me and my family.
