Abigail, my younger sister, is just 26 years old and facing the challenge of a lifetime: she is preparing for heart transplant surgery.

She was born with CCTGA and is now in heart failure. She currently has a mechanical valve and a pacemaker to keep her going! We knew that one day she would need a transplant, but did not think it would happen so soon!

 While the prospect of a new heart brings hope and excitement to our family, it also comes with overwhelming medical and living expenses that are difficult to manage alone. The funds raised will help cover her hospital bills, travel, and meals during this critical time. After the surgery, she will need to stay in Atlanta for a month so her doctors can closely monitor her recovery. This means paying for an Airbnb or living arrangements, which adds another layer of financial stress. As well as her husband will be out of work for a full month or longer to take care of her.

By supporting this fundraiser, you will help ease her burden and allow her to focus on healing and regaining her strength. After she returns home, many people would like to provide meals to help, and our family would love to accept that kindness. We would appreciate it if supporters used this platform to contribute in the same way, helping her through this journey.
