Support Abigail Morgan's Family After Eaton Fire

Hi, my name is Leah Miller, and I’m starting this fundraiser to support my dear friend Abigail Morgan and her family as they navigate the aftermath of the devastating Eaton Fire. Abigail and I first met over 15 years ago in my Pre/Postnatal yoga class at Silver Lake Yoga, and we've shared a deep passion for helping women in the childbearing years. Our daughters have been best friends since kindergarten at Aveson, and are now at CS Arts together.

Abigail has faced so much already, and despite the many offers from friends like myself, she has been hesitant to start a GoFundMe—likely due to survivor's guilt. But right now, they could really use support, especially with covering basic living expenses. If you're able to help in any way, it would mean the world to her and her family.

On January 7th, Abigail, Cloud, Lucy, and their dog Fern had to evacuate from their home near Eaton Canyon. While they are thankfully all safe and their home is still standing, the house (built in 1930) sustained major smoke damage due to its close proximity to the fire, and it is currently uninhabitable. Most of their beloved town has been destroyed, including the kids' schools—both their elementary and middle schools were burned down. Many of their neighbors and friends have lost everything.

Abigail has been able to reopen her acupuncture practice, located just a mile away in North Pasadena, after being closed for two weeks for professional cleaning and restoration. Fern, who suffers from severe anxiety, has been staying in a kennel during this time. The family is currently living in an Airbnb and will likely need to stay there for at least another 2-3 months before it’s safe to return to their home.
