Support Abigail, Bradley, and Braylee's NICU Journey

Donation protected

On July 14th Abigail was admitted to the hospital. Her blood pressure was extremely high and she was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 28 weeks. With Bradley by her side every step of the way, the next four days were spent treating Abigail’s blood pressure and all her symptoms in hopes of keeping their sweet baby girl in the womb as long as possible. They bought as much time as they could but by Thursday afternoon every effort had been made to keep mom & baby both safe . Abbie’s health was declining and in order for her to get better she would need to deliver their daughter. Braylee Jean Johnson was born July 18th via c-section. Their preemie princess weighed only 2lbs 13oz. She was taken to the NICU at Jackson General Hospital. She blew all her nurses away by how well she was doing, they called her a little pistol. Everything seemed to be going so well until about midnight last night . Her nurse noticed that something wasn’t right and an x-ray was done on her tiny stomach. The x-ray showed that there was a small hole in her intestines that was leaking air into her stomach. They prepared her to be transported to LeBonheur . Mom & Dad beat the ambulance there and waited for their preemie princess to arrive. They were later faced with the news that their precious baby girl would need surgery soon to fix the leak. Bloodwork showed that she her little body was also fighting an infection. Instead of being at home recovering from a traumatic week and an emergency c-section Abigail & Bradley are now back in the hospital with their daughter and preparing for the scariest time of their lives. During this time they need to be able to lean on each other for emotional support and focus on their daughter’s health without the added stress of worrying about missed work days , little to no paychecks , upcoming bills & medical expenses , and figuring out how to pay for their stay in Memphis. It was very hard getting them to allow me to set this up for them because they know everyone is struggling in this economy. With that being said if you are able and willing to donate, we would gladly except any donations, no matter how big or small. If you can’t donate, we completely understand and just ask for prayers for them and to please share this post.
