A Heartfelt Plea for Baby Danaya Deloris Shipman Bunsie

Our hearts are shattered. On July 13, 2025, our sweet baby Danaya Deloris Shipman Bunsie, affectionately known as our "lil Loli," was tragically taken from us while still in her mother Abigail Shipman's womb. She was due to grace us with her presence on September 1st, and the anticipation of her arrival filled our days with such immense joy and excitement. This sudden and devastating loss has plunged our entire family into an unimaginable depth of sorrow.

Danaya was a true gift, a beacon of hope and love we were all eagerly awaiting. It breaks our hearts to share that a ruptured placenta, caused by a blood clot, was the reason she was taken from us far too soon. Her mother, Abigail, is the most nurturing, loving, kind, and thoughtful person you could ever know. She poured every ounce of her being into carrying a healthy baby, doing everything within her power to ensure Danaya's well-being. Despite this, Abigail is consumed by a pain that leads her to blame herself, but we want to make it unequivocally clear: this was not her fault.

Abigail, a dedicated PCA worker, is now facing the daunting reality of not being able to return to work for the foreseeable future. The emotional toll of losing Danaya is immense, and the financial strain of funeral costs, medical expenses, and the inability to work is an added burden during this incredibly difficult time.
