Hello,

We are starting this fundraiser for Abhijit Dutta with his parents' consent. Abhijit has been diagnosed with Moyamoya disease, a rare, progressive cerebrovascular condition. Due to this disease, he has had several strokes and lost his mobility and speech partially.

Abhijit and his parents live in Kolkata. When he got diagnosed with the disease, he and his parents flew to the Bay Area so that he can be operated on by Dr. Gary K. Steinberg at Stanford. He has had a successful surgery at Stanford but needs continued post-operative care and therapy so that he can regain his speech and motor skills.
