Hi everyone, I’m reaching out on behalf of my family as we face one of our toughest challenges yet. My brother Abel is currently undergoing open heart surgery, and while we are focusing all our energy on his recovery, the financial burden has become overwhelming for my parents. To ensure he gets the best possible care, my mom has stepped away from work to be his full-time caregiver. On top of losing that income, the medical bills are mounting, and my parents have had to take on a specialized insurance plan to help cover his needs.

After the surgery, Abel is required to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 18 days, followed by a long road of recovery at home. For three months, he needs a 24/7 caregiver, and my mom will be by his side every step of the way. We want my parents to be able to focus on his health without the constant fear of how they will cover the next bill or keep up with these rising costs.
