Hello my name is Dejarelle (Deja) Gaines and I am Abdula Gaines's eldest child. We heard the unfortunate news that my father Abdula passed away on Wednesday May 17th and since then it has been a whirlwind of last minute financial obligations that none of us were prepared for. We are putting together this fundraiser to help the family offset some of these unexpected financial burdens that we have been saddled with.

To those of you who were able to attend one or both of the funeral services this past Wednesday June 7th, we thank you. The family really appreciated your presence and I'm sure that my father Abdula would have really appreciated.

Whether you were able to attend the services or not, we have put together this fundraiser to alleviate some of the financial costs that came along with this unfortunate news of my father's passing.
