As we all approach the "back-to-school" vibes of September, please consider reading this story and contributing to the educational dreams of a young man, top of his class, who can't afford the education he deserves. As you'll see, Abdukerim is a highly-motivated, passionate learner who intends to use his education to elevate others.

Hello! My name is Abdukerim, I’m 17 years old, and I’m from Kyrgyzstan. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in making my dream come true — earning a higher education in the United States.
My Story
I just graduated from high school and currently work to support my family and save money for my education. I work as a front-end developer for an investment company and make $450/month. Despite my determination, my family’s financial resources in Kyrgyzstan are very limited. I’ve created a detailed budget (see below), and even working full-time, I cannot raise the necessary amount to apply to universities in a reasonable timeframe.
Education has always been my passion, and I am determined to work hard to achieve my goals. Last year, I started studying English seriously by attending courses every day. I have already reached a B1 level and continue studying each day.
Why the USA?
I chose the U.S. for several important reasons:
Gaining international experience that will open doors worldwide
Access to cutting-edge technologies and advanced teaching methods
Opportunities to connect with IT professionals and mentors
Some of the world’s best programs in Computer Science and Management Information Systems
My Goal
I plan to major in Computer Science and Management Information Systems. I’ve carefully researched universities in the U.S. and have decided to apply to:
University of Washington – Seattle – strong Computer Science program
Carnegie Mellon University – one of the top IT universities worldwide
NYU and Cornell University – excellent programs in IT and management
Arizona State University & University of Arizona – popular for IT majors
Portland State University & Oregon State University – strong IT programs
My dream is to become a world-class IT specialist and contribute to the growth of technology both in the U.S. and in my home country.
Detailed Budget Breakdown ($5,000)
Education consulting company services: $1,500
(applications to 20 universities, interview prep, Duolingo test prep, reapplications if needed)
Visa fee: $185
SEVIS fee: $385
Official document translation: $100–200
Health insurance: $300–400
Enrollment deposit: $1,000
Flight from Kyrgyzstan to the U.S.: $1,000+
Emergency reserve: $430–630
My Promise
With an IT degree, I plan not only to build a successful career but also to support the technological development of Central Asia. I want to create jobs, mentor young specialists, and contribute to the digital transformation of my region.
Your support is not just an investment in my education, but in positive change for many others.
Transparency & Accountability
I commit to sharing regular updates on my application process and the use of funds. Every dollar will go directly toward educational expenses, with receipts and documents provided for transparency.
Gratitude
Any contribution, no matter the size, means the world to me. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story with your friends and family. Every share brings me closer to my dream.
Thank you for considering helping a 17-year-old from Kyrgyzstan pursue his American dream of education!
With hope and gratitude,
Abdukerim
