Support Abbey's Urgent Surgery

Abbey was recently diagnosed with a MCT (Mast Cell Tumor) on her knee and it needs immediate removal to retain her quality of life.

For those unfamiliar, I adopted Abbey almost 12 years ago and she has been the greatest thing to ever happen to me! She has been my best friend, my road trip buddy, my therapist, my confidant and the only reason that my feet are still above ground.

She is an incredibly active dog at 12! She absolutely loves swimming at our new beach in Chicago, playing endless throws of fetch and exploring our new home city. I just want to give her the best chance to continue her quality of life for years to come!

It’s difficult to ask for support as a very independent person, but unfortunately I have no other choice.

Any funds I receive will go toward the ultra-sound to make sure the tumor has not spread, anesthesia, removal of the tumor and her after-care while she heals at home.

Unfortunately, the location is along her knee joint, so it cannot be fully closed as it heals and I will need someone to stop at my apartment once a day while I’m at work to make sure she is stable.

If any funds are leftover, they will go toward a dog rescue of our choosing.

I cannot express how grateful I already am for the moral support I’ve received and I’ve been urged to create this, even though my ego doesn’t want me to. Abbey means the world to me and being able to make sure she is as healthy and happy for as long as possible is my greatest priority!
