This fundraiser is for my wife Abbey. She is undergoing ovarian surgery to remove a type of cancer. She had a similar surgery last year on her left ovary, but is now struggling with the same condition on her right ovary.

Some background on Abbey: She is a child/family therapist who has often found herself being called to care for children in the community around her. As a child from a large family who grew up caring for younger siblings, she has always dreamed of being a mother and I cannot imagine anyone more fit. She is a caring soul with a heart of gold. As a therapist and community member, Abbey has always worked hard to take care of the people around her, and now we are hoping to return that same love and care.

We don’t know exactly how this surgery will impact her future, and particularly her reproductive health, so we are raising funds for help with lost wages, impending post-op costs, and any potential fertility treatments following her recovery.
