I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my INCREDIBLE friend, Abbey, who is really going through it right now.

Abbey is the kind of person who really hates to ask for help from others, despite being the first person to offer help when someone else is in need.

Abbey has struggled with epilepsy for over a decade. Unfortunately, after a recent trip to the ER, after a day they had 12 seizures, Abbey learned they also have a brain tumor.

Abbey is still unsure what the next course of action will be; it still needs to be determined if it is cancerous or benign. However, at the alarming rate that it is growing, they are looking at potentially having brain surgery or possibly going through radiation to try and treat the tumor that way. This is understandably incredibly overwhelming and stress-inducing.

To make matters worse, Abbey was also placed on medical leave from their job, which is unpaid.

The reality of life, especially as someone who lives in California, is that rent and the general cost of living are very expensive. Add in the additional fact that Abbey is the parent to two awesome 9-year-old boys, Abbey needs help.

Abbey and I became friends in 2018 when I lost my stepdaughter in a tragic accident. Abbey showed up for me every single day and made sure I knew that they were always there for me when I needed help. Abbey helped me not because they needed to or because we were friends at the time; Abbey was there for me because I was a former classmate from high school and they knew I was struggling and didn’t want me to struggle alone. That’s just the kind of person Abbey is. Now Abbey is the one struggling and they don’t deserve to struggle alone either.

Any donation helps, even if it’s just a few dollars. Every donation will be going to ensure Abbey can maintain the roof over their head, food and their medical premium to make sure they don't lose any health insurance benefits.
