Hello! We're AAUW Eugene-Lane. (That's the American Association of University Women, for those who are unfamiliar with us.) AAUW has been around for more than a century, as has our Eugene-Lane branch, with our roots dating back to 1907. Our ongoing mission is to advance equity for women, girls, and non-binary individuals through advocacy, education, and research.
Want to join us in our efforts?
Currently, we are fundraising for several important programs that are part of our annual educational and community outreach activities. For 2025, these include the following:
- NCCWSL (National Conference for College Women Student Leaders): For decades, AAUW has been participating in bringing thousands of college women together from across the country for leadership training, inspiration, and networking. NCCWSL takes place each spring in Washington, DC, and Eugene-Lane is proud to sponsor scholarship recipients as our funds permit.
- Kidsports: Closer to home, Eugene-Lane annually sponsors a Kidsports middle school girls' basketball team. Kidsports is the only multi-sport provider in Lane County offering an experience for helping kids from all walks of life achieve their personal best while having fun.
- SPICE Science Camp: Each summer, our branch sponsors SPICE Science Camp opportunities. SPICE creates an environment where students from traditionally underserved communities (such as girls and non-binary individuals) can share the joys of hands-on science as well as science mentoring opportunities for SPICE camp graduates.
- Additional Education and Community Outreach Opportunities: As they arise, we love to respond to our community's needs, particularly as they relate to women, girls, and non-binary individuals.
