Please help AAUW Eugene-Lane (American Association of University Women branch in Eugene-Lane County Oregon), advance equity for women, girls, and non-binary individuals through advocacy, education, and research. We are currently fundraising for several key programs, including:
- A Special Screening of the documentary film "Space, Hope, and Charity" on Oct. 26, 2026 at 6:30pm, at the Art House theater in Eugene, OR. This inspiring film follows AAUW member, UO alum, and NASA Astrophysicist Dr. Charity Woodrum's remarkable journey through trauma to exploring distant galaxies. In-person Q&A with Dr. Woodrum and film producer Sandy Cummings to follow. The purpose of this screening, in collaboration with Woody's Stars and the UO Women in Graduate Sciences, is to show people that they, too, can overcome obstacles in pursuit of their own dreams, the importance of mentorship, and the life-changing power of human connection.
- Eugene Science Center's 2026-2027 Girls' Science Adventures (GSA): We are proud to sponsor a total of 9 Girls' Science Adventure program for girls in grades 4-8 at the Eugene Science Center, also in collaboration with UO Women in Graduate Sciences. Sessions will feature hands-on, age-appropriate labs and activities led by women scientists and aimed at nurturing future women scientists.
- NCCWSL (National Conference for College Women Student Leaders): For decades, AAUW has been participating in bringing thousands of college women together from across the country for leadership training, inspiration, and networking. NCCWSL takes place each spring in Washington, DC, and Eugene-Lane is proud to sponsor scholarship recipients as our funds permit.
- Additional Education and Community Outreach Opportunities: As they arise, we love to respond to our community's educational needs, particularly as they relate to women, girls, and non-binary individuals.
Please donate to our GoFundMe campaign, and we will put every dollar to good use. Or you can mail donations to us at 3294 Glen Mar Ave., Eugene, OR 97405.
If you are donating to one of our specific activities described above, please include a comment to that effect.
