Support Aaron's Healing and Neo's Recovery

Hello, friends and family. This plea is coming to you on behalf of Aaron Winders and his dog, Neo, from his two daughters.
At the end of January, our father suffered a massive heart attack, the kind known as ‘the widow maker’. Miraculously, with the gift of extremely skilled surgeons and medical staff and an abundance of prayer and support, he has survived. It has been a long, grueling month, and while he is recovering in leaps and bounds, he won’t be able to go home for at least another month. As his children, this has been heartbreaking and stressful for us. Hayley lives about 2 hours away, and Kim lives more than twice that far, making regular visits difficult. However, that’s not the main reason we’re coming to you today for support, though it helps explain why.
While he has been in the hospital, his neighbor has kindly been caring for his beloved dog, Neo. Unfortunately, this weekend, Neo was the victim of a random act of violence. He was shot while outside in the yard. The bullet entered his neck and made its way down into his shoulder. The vet was able to locate the bullet and repair the major damage.
Now Neo is coughing every time he tries to swallow, and the vet is concerned about complications and internal bleeding. They want to do some more scans and tests to confirm, followed by any necessary surgery to repair the remaining damage. Neo’s vet bills are already high, and due to our father being in the hospital and unable to work for the past month and the foreseeable future, we are turning to you, the community, for help. Dad needs to focus on his own healing and recovery, and being able to take Neo’s mounting vet bills off his plate would mean the world to us.
Neo is being cared for by the vets at Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch. All funds raised up to our goal will be put directly towards his medical bills. Anything we are able to raise beyond our goal amount will go toward helping our dad pay his own bills (electricity, cell phone, medical bills, etc.) since he is out of work and has to wait for the disability approval to kick in, and his bills are already in piling up. Thank you for your continued love and support. We so appreciate it!
