My name is Jami. I'm Aaron's wife. For those who don't know our story, I'll give you a quick rundown. We are high school sweethearts. (awwwwww!) When we graduated high school I left for the Navy and we lost touch. Fast forward 25 years, I shot him a message out of the blue in April 2024 and by October he was moving to South Carolina from Oregon and we were married! Then eight months later, after a few months of diagnostic medicine, Aaron was diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer in July 2025 that had spread to multiple lymph nodes. He did three rounds of chemotherapy which killed A LOT of the cancer, but not all. So, our next adventure will take us to Indiana University where he will undergo open RPLND surgery in order to remove the remaining affected lymph nodes. Although our insurance will cover a good chunk of the surgery and hospital stay, we are still on the hook for travel, lodging, and all the nickel-and-diming of unplanned travel. He hasn't been able to work since his cancer journey began and we are tight on funds. If you've ever met Aaron, you know how he's always been the giver, the care-taker and never one to ask for favors. If you are able and willing to help us get there and back again (a hobbit's tale!) it would be greatly appreciated. If you are stretched thin like we are (times are tough, we totally get it), we would greatly appreciate a prayer for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
