In January, Aaron went in to seek care for a kidney stone in his left kidney. He had a CT scan done that showed 2 masses on his right kidney. He went to Duluth to have a biopsy done and the results were inconclusive so he was referred to Mayo in Rochester where a second biopsy was done. The masses were found to be malignant and he was diagnosed with kidney cancer.
On April 1st he will have surgery at Methodist Hospital in Rochester to have his right kidney removed. Thankfully the cancer is contained to his right kidney, praise be to God! Had Aaron never gone in for the kidney stone he would not have gotten his diagnosis as early as he did.
With this surgery and battle are going to come some hefty costs. Aaron is currently the sole income in their home as his wife Jen has had some serious health struggles of her own over the last few years that have left her unable to work. Both Aaron and Jen are incredibly caring and giving people who work hard to care for their loved ones. During Aaron's recovery it would be wonderful if he could focus solely on that, recovering, without the added financial stress of monthly bills, travel costs to Mayo, medical bills and the cost of keeping his health insurance. If you have an ability to offer a donation, thank you!
Aaron has a long journey ahead, but with our Lord at his side! Please pray for him and his family as they navigate this together.
Updates and any other needs will be posted as they arise.
Thank you for reading Aaron's story this far and in advance for any donations and prayers!
