Support Aaron Sager's Road to Recovery

Our dear friends, Assel and Aaron Sager, are going through an incredibly challenging time. Aaron, a loving husband and devoted father to their two wonderful children, Ada and Eli, experienced a sudden health crisis that turned their lives upside down.

On October 30th, 2024, Aaron went to the ER with a terrible headache, pain in the neck, numbness in his left hand and leg, and he was feeling dizzy and weak. While he was sent home that day, his symptoms persisted, and a follow-up with his primary care doctor didn’t provide answers. By Friday morning, his condition worsened, and they returned to another ER in Cleveland Clinic with Aaron experiencing severe headaches and numbness in his left hand and leg.

Thanks to the incredible doctors, Aaron was diagnosed with a cavernoma located in a precarious spot in his brain. After several days in the MICU, he underwent emergency brain surgery on November 6th. While the surgery was successful, Aaron’s recovery journey is just beginning.

Aaron is stable, but he currently cannot eat or breathe on his own. He has a feeding tube and a tracheostomy to help him breathe. The road ahead will be long and filled with extensive rehabilitation. We are praying he will regain the ability to swallow on his own and avoid further surgeries. His speech therapist has shared encouraging signs of progress, but it will take time, care, and dedication.

This is where we, as friends, family, and a caring community, can step in to support this wonderful family. The medical bills are piling up, and Assel is doing everything she can to care for Aaron, Ada, and Eli while keeping life moving forward. With Aaron unable to work and their household in need of groceries, childcare, and other essentials, they could use our help more than ever.

We’re setting up this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on the Sagers so they can focus on Aaron’s recovery without the overwhelming stress of mounting bills. The funds will be used for medical expenses, therapy, rehabilitation, and their family’s living expenses during this challenging time.
