On Sept.6, Boswell Pioneer football team played against Saginaw for the 2nd game of the season. On his second play of the game, during a kickoff Aaron Riley planted his right foot to turn towards the play when he was hit from the blindside . He never saw it coming. As a result he tore his ACL completely and ripped his LCL, MCL, and meniscus in 2 places. After the initial surgery to repair everything, he caught an infection and has had yet another surgery to clean out the knee and faces at least 1 more surgery possibly 2 or 3 more. As a result of the infection he will be homebound for at least 6 weeks starting tomorrow , which does not include the 3 weeks he has already missed. His father, Joshua Riley, will be missing work (unpaid) to stay home with Aaron. This has taken a HUGE financial (and emotional) toll on this amazing family. Anyone who meets any of the Riley’s knows how wonderful and giving they are. Please consider helping in anyway you can to assist with medical bills and anything else that comes up. Thank you!
