Hello!

My name is Kayleigh Hand, sister to Aaron Hand. Aaron has suffered a very serious motorcycle accident. We are raising funds to help with bills and recovery costs - any little bit helps. If you know Aaron, you know he loved the thrill of riding and being with his buddies. We are sure he will get back on the bike in time but until then, we are calling on all his friends and family to come together to help him recover and not let financial stress be a barrier for him.

Update 4/20/26

Aaron is sedated, with a chest tube & intubated. He has over 30 broken bones, including the pelvis & pubic bone and a fractured hip. He has a bruised lung and a collapsed lung. His blood pressure has finally leveled out & he is off BP medicine for it so he is stabilizing - which is great for surgery purposes! His temperature is also getting better - he had a high fever when he first got in. He broke both ankles, the femur in his right leg, the tibia and fibula and right arm & collarbone. He also has multiple spinal injuries, 7ish broken ribs, and a broken tail bone. He has a couple blockages/injuries to his veins that they are watching.

No surgeries have been done besides minor ones to regain blood flow to his arm. They are now ordering platelets to do surgery in the morning! (This is exciting news!)

He does have really bad road rash. They have addressed/stitched up the worse ones.

They are giving him tons of fluid to protect his organs from failing.

He’ll be sedated for awhile but when they go to work on his arm, they will wake him up.

His right ankle no longer needs surgery. He will just be in a boot for awhile.
