Hi everyone! My name is Aaliyah, and I’m currently a junior at Loyola Marymount University majoring in Philosophy with a minor in International Relations, on the pre-law track. I’m incredibly excited and grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into LMU’s Summer Abroad Program, where I’ll be studying at the University of Oxford this summer.

This opportunity means so much to me because I have never traveled outside of the United States before. Being able to study in another country, especially at a place as historic as Oxford, is something I don’t take lightly. Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and I’m incredibly thankful to have been selected.

As someone passionate about pursuing law and expanding my understanding of the world, studying abroad will allow me to engage with new perspectives, cultures, and academic traditions that will shape the way I think about justice, leadership, and global issues.

While I am doing everything I can to make this experience possible, the costs associated with studying abroad, such as including travel, program deposits, housing, food, and basic supplies, can add up quickly. I created this GoFundMe to help offset some of those expenses and make this dream a reality.
