Hi, my name is Aaliyah Johnson, and I’m sharing my story because I truly need help rebuilding my life after an unimaginable loss.

I lost my mother in a house fire, a tragedy that changed everything for me in an instant. She was my only parent. I never had a father in my life, and losing my mom meant losing my home, my safety, and the person who protected and supported me through everything.

After the fire, I had nowhere to go. I am currently staying with my grandmother, who is doing the best she can but she lives in a trailer home that is not safe or stable for long-term living. While I’m grateful to have her, the conditions make it incredibly difficult to heal, grieve, and move forward.

My Goal

I am raising $15,000 to help secure safe, stable housing either by moving into a small home or apartment, covering deposits, basic furnishings, and essential living expenses. This fundraiser is about more than just a place to stay it’s about having a chance to start over.

Why This Matters

Losing my mom didn’t just break my heart it took away my foundation. I’m trying to stand on my own after losing everything, and I’m asking for help because no one should have to navigate this kind of loss alone.

I want to honor my mom by rebuilding my life and creating a future she would be proud of. A safe home would give me the stability I need to heal, work toward my goals, and move forward instead of constantly worrying about where I’ll sleep or what tomorrow will bring.
