Support Aaliyah's Family After Tragedy

Hello, my name is Aaliyah Mcgriff, and I’m reaching out during the most heartbreaking time of my life. Just days ago, I lost my husband the love of my life to senseless gun violence. He was an innocent man, taken far too soon, and our lives will never be the same.

From the very first day we met, we instantly clicked. He loved me fully, truly, and unconditionally. For over a decade, we stood by each other through everything. He was not only my partner, but also my provider, protector, and best friend my backbone. We built a life together and created a beautiful family. We have children who adored their father, and he adored them right back. He also leaves behind a loving mother, supportive sisters, and so many people who cherished him deeply.

He was taken from us during an innocent act of taking up for his family. The money he had was stolen was meant for our rent. It hurts beyond words to know that he died trying to provide for us, like he always did. I recently started a new job, and I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for our children, but I can’t do this alone.

I don’t have anyone I can turn to for the answers I so badly need, and honestly, I don’t know if I’m in shock or just trying to survive. Right now, I’m asking for help any support, no matter how small to help cover for rent, and basic necessities for our kids as we navigate this unthinkable loss.
