UPDATE!! - Stetson was born on 8/15, 3lbs 15oz and 15.7 inches long. He is in the NICU at UK. As of 8/15, he is no longer needing Oxygen, just pressure. Aaliyah was discharged on 8/18 and returned to her home in Nicholas County. Aaron and Aaliyah have decided to stay at home at this point. The Ronald McDonald house is still an option and possibly will be used on the weekends. Aaron wants to be at home during the week to provide for his young family. That being said, prayers are still heavily asked for. Donations are extremely appreciated also. Stetson is predicted to be in the NICU for close to a month. Aaliyah and Aaron are going to visit everyday. Thank you to everyone for everything thus far. This family is definitely loved and it has truly been shown.

Update: Aaliyah is receiving ongoing medical attention at the University of Kentucky until the birth of her child. Regular ultrasounds are being performed to ascertain the most suitable time for delivery. She is currently thirty-two weeks pregnant. Although Stetson is smaller than average, his strength is evident. We trust that God is protecting both Aaliyah and her unborn child. Both Aaliyah and the baby require prayers during this difficult period. Aaron, the father, is understandably distraught, and we kindly request additional prayers for him. Aaliyah will undergo an ultrasound examination of her kidneys today. We kindly request that everyone continue praying for their well-being. Aaliyah and Aaron face a long and challenging road ahead. As Aaron is unable to work while caring for Aaliyah, any financial assistance, such as food or gas cards, would be greatly appreciated. A baby shower is planned upon their return home. Hey everyone. We’re Aaliyah Snapp’s parents, Darrin and Valerie. We are setting up a gofundme for Aaliyah and her boyfriend, Aaron, due to the news we received about her baby, Stetson. Aaliyah is 19 and is 31 weeks and a few days with her first baby. We have found out that she has Preeclampsia. A normal routine visit to her OB on the 7th has now turned into staying inpatient until she’s is 34 weeks pregnant. The doctors then want to take Stetson by C-Section and keep him in the NICU for 2-3 weeks at least. She is at HMH right now, but there is a strong possibility of her being transferred to UK once beds are available. All that being said, neither Aaron or Aaliyah can work at this time. Our family is supporting as much as possible, but any contribution would be extremely helpful to them for their bills, gas, and the remainder of baby things to get.
