Hello everyone, I am someone who needed a regular hip replacement. I went into Emory Hospital on July 16, 2025, to have a hip replacement. When I woke up in recovery, the doctors asked me to wiggle my toes and move my leg, and that’s when they discovered that I could not wiggle my toes or move my leg. What was supposed to be a one-day, same-day in-and-out surgery has now landed me in a rehabilitation facility, unable to walk. I still do not have feeling in my left leg or foot.

I'm a single mother of three. I worked full-time and had a fulfilling life before this. The doctors are not giving me any answers. They’re just as shocked as I am. They were expecting me to get up and walk out the same day. They have done several MRIs on my spine, and I’m still waiting with no answers.

I would like medical answers. I would love to be able to walk again. I’m unable to work, and medical bills are piling up. I’m just asking people to hear my story. Help me have my voice heard. Please share my story. I am young and vibrant, and now I’m confined to a wheelchair. I am trying to stay positive and stay focused to prevent this from happening to someone else.
