Support a Young Mom’s Fight Against Colon Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m creating this page on behalf of my beautiful sister, who is currently facing one of the toughest battles of her life—and she needs our help.
At just 39 years old, she’s been hit with a series of major health challenges. After being out of work for over seven weeks, she underwent an emergency hysterectomy on March 5 due to severe complications. She lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion. Doctors discovered widespread endometriosis that had spread further than expected.
Just as she was beginning to heal and returned to work for only three days, she was rushed back to the hospital in pain. That led to emergency surgery to remove her appendix. During the procedure, the surgeon found a mass on her colon. After additional testing, she was diagnosed with stage one colon cancer.
Next week, she’ll meet with a full team of doctors to build a treatment plan. This will include more testing, lifestyle changes, and a long journey toward recovery.
She’s also a devoted mother to four young boys—her world. Now, her husband is carrying the full financial burden as she focuses on her health. With mounting medical expenses and everyday costs, this situation has become incredibly overwhelming.
As her oldest sister, I live in another state and it breaks my heart that I can’t be by her side through this. I wish I could physically be there to support her, hold her hand through treatments, or help take care of the kids. But what I can do is pour my energy into research—finding every possible resource, support program, and financial aid available to help lift some of the weight off her shoulders.
Most of all, my sister is asking for your prayers. She believes in her healing and says, “God is good and He is taking care of me.” Her faith and strength are deeply inspiring.
If you’re able to donate—even a small amount—it would mean the world to her and our family. Your support can bring real relief during this storm, allowing her to focus on what matters most: healing and being present for her boys.
Thank you for reading, for your love, your prayers, and your generosity. And please—never ignore your symptoms. Cancer is affecting people younger and younger. We’re grateful this was caught early, and now we’re committed to helping her every step of the way.
With love and gratitude,
April Fourquet
