Expecting Mum Needs Support After House Fire

Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out with an urgent plea to support a friend in a city in Zimbabwe, who’s facing an incredibly tough time. She’s the daughter of an African friend I worked with years ago. I have been in contact with her for a few years now almost weekly. Right now, unexpected medical complications mean she must give birth within a week —costs that are piling up fast. Her partner, a government worker, hasn’t been paid in ages, leaving them with no financial resources.

Three weeks ago, a fire tore through their rural township area, destroying their home. They’ve had to move into a rented shack, draining their savings and forcing them to try to borrow just to survive in a place where resources are realy scarce.

Another complication is that due to local customs they have not been able to get support from thier parents, crazy as that might sound.

This is my first time organizing a fundraiser, and I’m personally donating to help cover essentials like medical costs and shortly there will be hospital fees, baby supplies, and basic needs for this young woman and her child. If my friends could join me in supporting her, it would be a wonderful way to show kindness across continents, and any assistance—big or small—would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve set up a fundraiser to assist her with a minimum target, but donations over and above that would be gratefully recieved.

Its a real need for this young lady, its not a scam, just a request for assistance.
