On September 5th, Andrea received the devastating news that she has the most aggressive form of ALS. This cruel disease has given her just 1–2 years left to live.

Andrea and her wife, Ashley, are devoted moms to two little boys, ages 2 and 7. Their family was already reeling from Andrea's diagnosis, when just weeks later, their eldest son was also diagnosed with autism. His therapies and supports are crucial for his future, but the costs are overwhelming. The initial testing alone has already cost the family thousands of dollars out of pocket.

This is not the life they imagined. Just three years ago, Andrea and Ashley poured their savings into IVF treatments to complete their family. They should be enjoying the everyday joys of raising their boys, but instead, their world has been shattered.

As Andrea’s illness progresses, the family will soon be relying on one income, causing them to face immense financial strain. Ashley has dedicated her career to caring for others, working in a group home where she selflessly gives so much of herself for very little in return. Without financial help, they risk losing their home, the place where Andrea most wants to spend her remaining time surrounded by her children.

This is every family's worst nightmare: two young children - one needing lifelong therapies, the other far too young to understand - and one parent counting down their last months while the other prepares to face the challenges of parenting alone. No family should have to face this heartbreak alone.
