Help us bring our short film to life!
THE HATRED is a horror short film written and directed by Lela Cermin filming this summer in New York.
The story follows a young girl who begins working at a funeral home only to realize her co-workers are committing necrophilia. Unsure and gaslit by her coworkers, she'll risk her life to uncover the truth.
Did you know there are five US states without a direct law against necrophilia?
This shocking fact is what led to the very creation of this story. Why?
Exploring themes of misogyny, womanhood and self-hatred, this short film will take inspiration from 1940s classic horror films and will be shot in black and white, making for an impactful and unique short film.
With your donation, we'll be able to make this short film the best that it can be and help cement a foot in the door to the entertainment industry. Every dollar counts, so even if you donate $10, it will be put to good use!
Thank you so much for your time and support of our short film.
