Welcome to Season 2 of Pucks for Bucks!
If you’re new here — I’m Jack, I’m 9 years old, and last year I started my own fundraiser called Pucks for Bucks to help make a difference for kids facing life-threatening illnesses.
I’ve loved hockey for as long as I can remember — honestly, since I was pretty much born into it — and it’s always been more than just a sport for me. When my sister was sick, hockey became my outlet. It was where I could clear my head, let out my energy, and keep going on the hard days. That love for the game is a huge part of why this fundraiser exists today.
I partnered with A Wish Come True, Inc., the oldest wish-granting organization in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In 2024 they expanded into Eastern CT. Their mission is incredibly special — they grant wishes and provide important support to families going through some of the hardest times imaginable.
I started Pucks for Bucks on May 12 because that date means a lot to my family. Four years ago, my sister beat cancer and was officially declared cancer free on May 12, 2022. Starting this fundraiser on that same day felt like the perfect way to turn something so important to us into something that could help other families too.
Here’s how my fundraiser works:
For every $1 donated, I shoot 1 puck into my net at home.
Last year, because of everyone’s kindness and support, I was able to help send an amazing kid and his family to Disney for his wish come true. Seeing how much happiness that brought made me want to do it all over again.
This year, I’m back for Season 2 with an even bigger goal — to help grant another wish and bring more joy to another deserving family.
Every donation, every share, and every puck helps make a difference. Thank you for supporting Pucks for Bucks and believing that even small actions can create something really big.
