Support a Whistleblower's Legal Battle
Donation protected
Hello, my name is June DeMario and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my daughter's story.
As many of you know, my daughter is a 20-year law enforcement veteran for a suburban Illinois police department. She has dedicated her life to her career and community and has always been there to help those in need. In addition, my daughter has devoted countless hours of her time and energy to numerous community policing events, establishing herself as a valued and well-respected member of the community she has served.
Now, my daughter needs your help.
After 20 years of service with an exemplary track record, she was suddenly placed on administrative leave and ultimately terminated. In February 2025, she came forward as a whistleblower with allegations of misconduct against high-ranking members of her department's administration. The misconduct in question was in reference to the unlawful termination of one of her fellow coworkers. We believe that my daughter's termination was unlawful and retaliatory due to her blowing the whistle on corruption within her department.
These allegations eventually led to an "independent" investigation chosen by the city. This investigation was far from independent and led to my daughter's placement on administrative leave and her eventual firing. We hope my daughter will get her job back in the end, but unfortunately, it will be a long fight.
Those of you that know my daughter, know how much she cares about others. Yearly, she runs a small, free, haunted walkthrough at her home for the community to attend. She also dedicates time and money to helping a local dog rescue. Unfortunately, these current circumstances have led her to start selling her beloved Halloween decorations, and she will no longer be able to have this walkthrough, nor be able to dedicate her resources to dog rescues. Her world has been turned upside down and she is devastated.
Any money donated will be used for legal fees to win her job back and bills to prevent her from losing her home of 15 years.
Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
