Support a War Veteran: A New Home for a Hero

My name is Jen Williams, and I am the co-owner of Approved Credit Coach. I am reaching out on behalf of a wonderful couple, Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield, who were referred to us through our Homebuyers Readiness Program by a trusted partner, Nick DiTucci.

Over the months of working with the Hatfields, I’ve come to know them well and have been deeply moved by their story. Mr. Hatfield dedicated 20 years of his life to the U.S. Army, serving multiple tours overseas to protect our country. Today, he is permanently disabled and unable to work, and unfortunately, their current living conditions are dire.

The Hatfields are living in the worst conditions I have ever encountered. Their mobile home is crumbling around them. There are large holes in the floor that allow snakes and other animals to enter, forcing them to sleep with a hoe and machete at their bedside for protection. Black mold is rampant throughout the home. They only have a few working outlets, which they must carefully unplug every few hours to prevent electrical fires. The home has no air conditioning or heating, which means unbearable heat in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. The exterior walls have holes that they’ve desperately tried to patch up. They have no oven and just one working burner on their stove.

After hearing their story, we couldn’t stand by and do nothing. We reached out to Don Reilly at Back Home Patriots for support, and together, we’ve committed to providing this couple with a new mobile home. However, we can’t do it alone.

We are asking for your support to help give the Hatfields the safe, secure home they deserve. Mr. Hatfield served our country with honor, and now it’s our turn to serve him and his family in their time of need.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping us make this a reality. We’ve also included videos showing the condition of their current home to give you a better sense of the urgency of this situation.
