Cinnamon Pet is being built with a single tagline in mind: "Join us on a journey to create a brighter and smarter future for our pets". My immediate goal is to launch a mobile application designed to help pet parents take better care of their furry family members. However, my long-term vision goes much deeper than just an app.

As the company grows, I plan to integrate into local communities by producing healthy, fresh food for cats and dogs as well as pet related products for your family and friends. Profits will be used to provide specialized software to local animal shelters, completely free of charge.

➔ The Challenge

Like many in the tech sector, I faced a layoff about two years ago. While the job market has been difficult to navigate since then, it gave me the time and motivation to focus on my own skills and develop the concept for Cinnamon Pet.

I have the technical skills to build the product and the drive to make it succeed. However, I have hit a specific administrative roadblock. My goal was to secure small business grants to fund the startup costs. Unfortunately, I discovered a "catch-22": 99% of the grants available require the business to already be officially registered and incorporated before you can apply.
