I am a disabled veteran with an extremely rare blood disease that is affected by heat. The hotter it gets the sicker I get. When my heats up to a certain point I will start vomiting non-stop until I pass out. At that point I will be hospitalized everything stablizes. The last time the heat got to me I was extremely lucky my mom was down from Colorado visiting and I had a friend outside helping me that as soon as the vomiting started he got me inside and my mom got me into a cool shower to get my body temperature down which saved me from having to go to the hospital. It's just me and my service dog in this house having to keep my doors and all my windows wide open praying for a breeze. Summer is coming fast and it's going to be 90°+ soon means 100° plus inside my house. Please Help! My central air compressor failed and cats tore up all my ducts underneath my house. It is a very old unit. I believe it's as old as my house. Being that it's so old, no AC company will repair nor replace just the compressor. So, I have to have the furnace and compressor replaced. My insurance company doesn't cover any of it, so everything is out of pocket. With today's economy, A buddy bought a couple of small window units, but they barely get my 1,200 sqft house 2 to 3 degrees below the outside temp. With the temperatures rising every day and these tiny units running non-stop, my electric bill is through the roof the past two months it's been between $300-350 a month two window units running, a regular refrigerator, and a tv. I need help with getting the funds together fast to get air conditioning in my house before it hits 90°+.
