Support a Veteran’s Journey to a Healthy Smile!

Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Brandon and I’m a 39-year-old Navy veteran. I currently work for a company that provides support for BMW. Life is going pretty good. I have a wonderful family and a few great close friends. One thing I felt I’ve been missing for a long time is a good smile, and that’s why I’m here today.

I’ve been taking certain prescribed medications for a while now and didn’t realize until recently how they have affected my dental health. I do have dental insurance, but to be honest, it doesn’t quite cover what I need to just have a decent smile. I used to be very confident in my smile. I know that so many people have similar stories and problems and issues to deal with in their own life. My case is nothing drastic or rare like some people's are. My back teeth have been in severe pain for quite some time now, and I think I just haven’t wanted anybody to see how bad a few of my back teeth have become. That in itself has caused great depression in my life, and I never thought something like dental work could do thatI’ve always been someone to do things on my own and I really don’t like asking for help, but I thought about what getting my smile back would mean for me and the people around me. between the medication’s and for a couple of years, I was a homeless veteran until the VA help me get on my feet and ever since 2016. I have been able to live a stable life outside of the military which I am so proud of. I believe outside of the exams and for the initial work plus the partial it is looking like two to $3000 total. I’m really hoping that my insurance covers about $1500. That’s why any donations $5, $10, $20 can get such a long way. Once again, I understand everyone has so many financial responsibilities to deal with on their own. This is only if you were in a position to be able to. There was a legal claim that I had promised for it first because it was unknown that certain medication’s could affect on teeth the way it has, but I have heard nothing back from them. I think I’ve had the man of. I’m gonna take care of business on my own like I always have. That’s why it is so tough creating this fundraiser because there are a lot more things that each of you could use your own money for. The money will specifically be going for all dental work to replace certain teeth and get a partial that is not covered by insurance and that is all

I am trying to raise just enough money to get my teeth fixed and to get partials for my teeth. No veneers or anything crazy expensive like that. I just wanna be able to laugh and give my best smile the way everyone should be able to. The one that everybody remembers me having I know not everyone is in a position to donate anything. I’m only asking two things. If there is anyone out there who can donate whatever they can to help, I would be forever grateful for whatever you can provide, and if you can’t, I just ask that you pray for me right now. I didn’t think that this would affect me the way that it has. That’s why I’m only asking for donations from people who absolutely are in a position to do so, and I would gladly send updates on the progress. Like I said, prayers are always greatly appreciated.

If you have it in your heart to donate a few dollars, every bit of it is gonna go towards what my insurance will not cover, nothing more, nothing less. I never thought I would be on here asking people who I’ve never met a day in my life to help out with this situation, but I do not want it to get worse. I don’t believe I feel desperate because I believe there is always hope. I wish the VA could do something, but they only provide dental help if you are 100% disabled. So if you’re reading this and can find it in your heart to provide whatever donation you can spare, you have no idea what it would mean to me. But as I said, if you are not able to, please send your prayers, wishes, and hope my way.

There are so many people out there with so many other issues, way worse issues than what I am dealing with at the moment. That’s why honestly I did not want to do this. But I feel like having a smile, not just for the look, but to take back my life and be confident once again, I believe it was worth doing this. Thank you so much for your time and reading this. God bless you all and your families!
